What is AuthorFlows?
AuthorFlows is cloud-based, AI-powered novel-writing software. It holds your outline, chapters, characters, story map, and timeline in one place, gives you a real manuscript editor to write in, and our AI Story Analyzer reads the whole book and tells you where the story is weak. It runs on any device with a browser, and never uses your manuscript as training data.
Does AuthorFlows train its AI on my writing?
No. Never. Our AI Story Analyzer reads your chapters, characters, world elements and notes to produce a result for you. The editor's AI reads the paragraphs immediately before your cursor so it can continue your thread. Neither one feeds your manuscript into training data, ours or anyone else's.
Is it legal to use AI to write a book?
Writing with AI assistance is legal and you own what you write. On copyright, the US Copyright Office has said purely AI-generated material can't be registered, while AI-assisted work you authored can be. AuthorFlows continues your paragraphs rather than generating chapters, so the words stay yours. Check your own jurisdiction and your publisher's policy before you submit.
What's the difference between the monthly and yearly plan?

Can I write without using the AI at all?
Yes. There's a toggle to turn generation off before you create a story. Outline by hand, write every word yourself, never open the Analyzer, and AuthorFlows is a clean studio with chapters, characters, a story map, a timeline and a real editor.
Will I lose my stories if something goes wrong?
No. Every change saves automatically and syncs to the cloud with industry-standard encryption, so your manuscript doesn't live on one hard drive. If your laptop dies, sign in from any other browser and the sentence you abandoned is still there, mid-word.
